Assurance experience across major infrastructure programmes

Our work connects independent assurance with the commercial realities of delivery. These examples show how MJA and its people support clients, alliances and enterprise programmes.

Hinkley Point C

MJA designed and implemented commercial assurance and cost verification processes, supporting the transition from FIDIC to NEC across £6bn+ of civils delivery, operations and professional services work.

The approach connected contract requirements and cost evidence with decisions across client and supply chain teams.

Southern Renewals Enterprise

With executive sponsorship, MJA designed and implemented an assurance programme aligned with the Enterprise delivery model, covering delivery and cost outputs for contract years 1 and 2. The work included overhead and profit incentive reviews and assessment of central-team and business-partner capability and compliance.

MJA then helped reset and strengthen first- and second-line assurance at partner and project level: the checks carried out by delivery teams and the oversight of those checks. This embedded a forward assurance programme for years 3–5 and beyond, designed to sustain the approach through Control Periods 7 and 8.
